Casio

Casio is a well known brand name and its products are commonly seen in most households in the form of wrist watches, clocks and calculators. However, they are less well known for other products such as musical keyboards, PDAs, electronic dictionaries and digital diaries, printers, portable and handheld televisions, etc. As our blog is mainly related to PDAs and laptops, our readers would be interested to know that Casio has the following PDAs available: Casio BE 300, Casio E 10, Casio E 100, Casio E 125, Casio E 200 and Casio EM 500. Although this is not a comprehensive list it does cover the more popular Casio PDAs. Accessories for the following brands are available at PDA Accessories: Apple / Ipod, Audiovox, Dell, Handspring, i-mate, MDA, Kyocera, Microsoft, Motorola, Nintendo, O2, Orange SPV, Palm, Qtek, Blackberry, Samsung, Sharp, Siemens, Sony, T-Mobile and Toshiba.

Audiovox

Audiovox is an old company as things go in the computing world, established since the mid-60s and mainly deals in consumer electronics and value added services. Its main products for the consumer market are radios, speakers, amplifiers, satellite radio, LCD and Plasma flat panel TVs, home and portable stereos, portable DVD players, home speaker systems, mobile or cell phones, etc. Audiovox has recently strengthened the consumer electronics side of its business by purchasing the consumer electronics accessory business as well as the consumer electronics audio video busniess from Thomson SA. Audiovox also operates under other brand names such as Acoustic Research, Advent, RCA, Terk, etc. Some of the more common Audiovox products are the Audiovox Thera, Audiovox Thera 2032, Audiovox Mastero, Audiovox PPC (4100, 5050, 6600, 6601, 6700), Audiovox SMT 5600 and the Audiovox XV (6600 and 6601). Apple

Apple, the company, first began as a manufacturer of personal PCs and faced direct competition from the likes of Commodore, IBM, Tandy, Xerox, etc. Since its beginnings in 1977, Apple has diversified itself into a maker of portable music players (iPod Mini, iPod Photo, iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano), smart phones or PDAs (iPhone), Laptops (Macbook, Macbook Air and Macbook PRO) as well as desktop PCs (iMacs). Other than that, Apple Inc. also develops its own software to go with its hardware products; this includes the Mac OS X operating system, iTunes, Quicktime, iDVD, iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb, GarageBand and the web browser that is rapidly gaining popularity, Safari. Apple has strong competition in all its products, particularly in the form of Microsoft which goes head to head against Apple's OS X with Windows, iTunes with Media Player, iPod with Zune, etc but due to Apple's unique philosophy of combining aesthetic designs with no-nonsense functionality it has an uncommonly loyal customer base within and without the US. However, Apple has been criticized frequently due to its policy of not facilitating creation of software to run and maintain its devices (such as iPod and iPhone) other than its own iTunes. It was also criticized for making the iPhone available for use on only a single mobile service provider in the US and UK. Although Apple faces these and other criticisms, it still is a distinct brand in the computer hardware and software as well as consumer electronics industry. Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, iBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

Dell

While Dell is a company that is better known for its desktops, laptops, servers, switches, etc one should also know that Dell also made PDAs. The PDA lineup (Axim brand) was officially discontinued by Dell in April 2007. These Axim PDAs ran using Microsoft Windows Mobile and although the product line is now discontinued Dell will keep supporting sold units for a period of 3 years. The following versions of Axim PDAs were made: Axim X3, Axim X5, Axim X30, Axim X50, Axim X51 and Axim X51v. The Dell PDA family used Intel processors and the X30 (high-end version) was the fastest PDA of its time based on processor speed. Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, iBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

DELL Laptop Accessories

While we have covered Dell, we have done so only from the PDA point of view. Dell Inc. is also a leading manufacturer of computing solutions selling notebooks, laptops, desktops, servers, etc. Dell was also one of the first major manufacturers to offer alternative operating systems (Linux) to Windows pre-installed. Dell purchased high-end gaming geared computer manufacturer Alienware in 2006 and incorporated it into its high-end lineup of laptops and PCs (the XPS series). For home users, Dell offers the Inspiron, the XPS and the Alienware series of laptops and desktops. Dell also manufacturers a host of computer peripherals including LCD TV’s, USB keydrives, printers, etc. Dell has also recently made a move towards greater incorporation of AMD processors in their computer products, that is for their laptops, desktops and servers lineups. Some of the accessories available for Dell laptops and desktops at PDA Accessories are: TARGUS WIRELESS Optical Mouse, USB108 Mb Wireless WiFi Adapter, WiFi 54Mbps PCI LAPTOP CARD, 108MBPS WiFi LAN PCI CARD, Wireless Solutions Belt Clips, Universal Holster , iGo Charging System, Body Glove Screen Protectors, Screen Protectors, Kensington Universal Adapter, Cell/PCS Direct Connect Amplifier, Wilson Wireless Amp Antenna, GENUINE Dell Battery Latitude, Universal Antenna Cradle, AC Adapter for DELL Inspiron 6400 600m 300m 500m, Power Supply Cord for Dell Inspiron 1150 8500 8600, AC Adapter 6400 600m 300m 500m NEW OL, NEW AC ADAPTER ADP-60NH DELL P/N PA-16 N5825 AX, AC Adapter for Dell Inspiron 6400 E1705, NEW TARGUS 150 WATT POWER INVERTER CAR ADAPTER ACS, AC Adapter 6400 E1505 Power supply LK, AC Adapter for Dell Inspiron 6400 E1505 Power, Dell Battery for Inspiron, ENGLISH KEYBOARD STICKERS and Russian Keyboard Stickers. Handspring

Handspring (now defunct) was a PDA manufacturer that merged with palm in 2003. The PDAs made by Handspring were known either as Treo or Visor, with different versions of each available. The first Handspring product to hit the market was the Handspring Visor in late 1999 and was one of the first PDAs to use USB for synchronization which made it instantly compatible with the Mac OS. The different versions of Treo PDAs were: Treo 90, Treo 180, Treo 270 and Treo 300. And the different versions of Visor PDAs were: Visor Edge, Visor Deluxe, Visor Neo, Visor Platinum, Visor Prism and the Visor Pro. The last product to hit the market by Handspring was the Handspring Treo 600 (now known as the palm Treo 600) and was during its time one of the few quad-band GSM phones available in the US. As most of the electronics in Handspring PDAs are solid state they are very robust and last a long time therefore it is not surprising that the Visor is still in use today and as Palm OS is backwards compatible therefore many of the applications made for newer Palm devices work with the old Visor. The following types of products are available at PDAaccessories: Bluetooth, Package, Leather Cases, Carrying Case, Chargers and Synchronizers, Stylus, Data Storage, Battery, Screen Protectors, Screen Cleaning Kits, Hands Free, Keyboards, Kits, Gaming Console Accessories, Booster Sticker, Antenna and Amplifiers, Gadgets, Cameras, Laptop Chargers, Laptop Keyboards, Wireless Cards and GPS Batteries, GPS Mounts

HP

HP or Hewlett-Packard is the world's largest seller of personal computers according to many sources. HP deals in desktops, servers, notebooks, laptops, printers, digital cameras and many other products (mostly related to IT). Part of the reason for this success in PC sales is HP's acquisition of Compaq, also a seller of laptops and notebooks. Compaq itself had acquired Tandem Computers and DEC in 1997 and 1998 respectively. This meant that along with manufacturing facilities, HP also gained a large number of consumers loyal to the brands Compaq, Tandem and DEC. HP also acquired Voodoo PCs, a PC manufacturer geared towards producing high-end PCs for gaming purposes. Some of the accessories available for HP Pavillion and Compaq Presario laptops at PDA Accessories.com are: 5in1 MP3/PDA/IPOD CAR FM TRANSMITTER, Universal Holster, Wireless Solutions Belt Clips, iGo Charging System, Charging Solutions, Body Glove Screen Protectors, Screen Protectors, NEW TARGUS 150 WATT POWER INVERTER CAR ADAPTER ACS, Wilson Wireless Amp Antenna, AC Adapter for HP Compaq, Kensington Universal Adapter, Cell/PCS Direct Connect Amplifier, Universal Antenna Cradle, Travel Safety and Security, AC Adapter DV9000 DV6000 DV8000 90W NV, AC Power Supply Compaq Presario 2100 2500 Laptop, AC Adapter for HP Pavilion F1703 1703 L1800 LCD, AC ADAPTER for HP PAVILION F1703 LCD MONITOR 12V, AC Adapter for HP Pavilion F1703 1703 F1503 LCD, AC Adapter for HP Pavilion NX6320 NX6325 NC6400, Power Supply Compaq Presario, 120W AC Adapter HP Pavilion ZV5000 ZD7000 Laptop , AC POWER SUPPLY CORD for HP Pavilion ZE4900, POWER SUPPLY CHARGER for HP Pavilion DV1100 DV4000, Power Supply & Cord Presario 3000 R3050, Targus AC Power Adapter - HP DV9000 DV6000 DV2000, AC Power Adapter for HP PAVILION F1503 LCD Monitor, AC Power Adapter Presario 2100 2500 90W, AC Power Adapter for HP Pavilion, AC Power Adapter Compaq Presario 2100 2500 90W, AC Power Adapter HP Pavilion ZD7000 ZX5000 120W US, AC Power Adapter supply for HP Pavilion DV1000, AC Adapter for HP Pavilion NX7400 NX6310 NC4400, AC Adapter for HP PAVILION ze2000 DV4000 DV5000, Power Supply & Cord for HP Compaq Presario 2100, AC Power Adapter HP Pavilion ZD7000 ZV5000 120W US, Power Supply & Cord Compaq Presario 3000 R3000 US, Power Supply & Cord Compaq Presario 3000/R3000, AC Adapter NX6320 NX6325 NC6400 NEW OM, NEW AC ADAPTER ADP-60NH DELL P/N PA-16 N5825 AX, AC Adapter HP Pavilion ZE4900 ZE4930 NX7000 2800, AC Power Adapter DV1000 DV4000 DV5, AC ADAPTER for LCD MONITOR HP 12V 5A POWER SUPPLY, Laptop Keyboard for HP Pavilion zx5000 zv6000, Laptop Keyboard for HP Compaq Presario M2000 V2000, NEW Keyboard for HP Presario M2000 V2000 367777, ENGLISH KEYBOARD STICKERS, NEW Keyboard for Compaq Presario V5000 PK13ZIP0600, Russian Keyboard Stickers, HP Compaq V5000V2000 Key Board, Laptop Keyboard for HP Compaq Presario DV2000, HP Presario R3000 R4000 NX9100 Keyboard 350787-001, Keyboard for Compaq PRESARIO 1200 1200XL 1600, Laptop Keyboard for HP Compaq NC6000 NC6100 NC6200, Laptop Keyboard for HP Pavilion ZE2000 ZE2100, NEW Keyboard for HP Presario V2000 V5000 367777, Laptop Keyboard for HP Pavilion zv5000 zv5200, Keyboard for HP ZE2000 ZE2300 DV5000 381068-001 ER, TARGUS WIRELESS Optical Mouse, USB108 Mb Wireless WiFi Adapter, WiFi 54Mbps PCI LAPTOP CARD and 108MBPS WiFi LAN PCI CARD. HP iPaq

HP iPaq is the brand name for HP's lineup of PDAs. Although iPaq was originally the name of Compaq's destop computer lineup, it was later used by Compaq for their PDAs as well when they were launched in 2000. After Hewlett-Packard (HP) took over Compaq and its subsidiaries, the product has been marketed by HP as HP-iPaq. HP-iPaq is one of the main competitors for Palm Pocket PC. HP iPaq typically uses the Microsoft Windows Mobile OS but can also be used with Linux distributions such as NetBSD etc. Accessories for the following models of HP iPaq PDAs are available at PDA Accessories: iPAQ HW6945, iPAQ H1910, iPAQ HX2795, iPAQ RX5915, iPAQ HW6340, iPAQ 4350, RX 3715, iPAQ 4100 & F4300 Series, , iPAQ H3700 series, iPAQ H2200 Series, iPAQ H2210, 540 Jornada, iPaq HW6515, 520 Jornada, iPAQ H5450, iPAQ RZ1710, iPAQ H3800 series, iPAQ H5150, iPAQ RX1955, iPAQ HW6715, iPAQ 2215, iPaq RX4240, iPAQ HW6510, iPAQ H5550, iPAQ 6315, iPAQ HX4700, iPAQ HX2190, iPAQ H3900 series, iPAQ HW6925+, iPAQ HX2495, iPAQ HW6940, iPAQ HX4705, 560 Jornada, iPAQ HX2490, iPAQ RX1950, iPAQ H3100 series, iPAQ HX2790, iPAQ H3600 series, iPAQ HX 2410, iPAQ HX2750, iPAQ RZ1715, RX 3115, iPAQ H3500 series, iPAQ HW6310, iPAQ HX 2110 and iPAQ H5455. i-mate

The i-mate company is a rather recent addition to the PDA market and till late 2006 carried products manufactured by HTC the Taiwanese mobile device giant. In 2006 HTC decided to start selling its devices under its own brand name and soon after ended business relations with i-mate. Thereafter i-mate started carrying devices from other manufacturers such as Inventec and TechFaith. i-mate is an expanding company and recently opened a new regional base in Singapore. i-mate products use Microsoft Windows Mobile OS and among their more popular products are: i-mate Jam 900, i-mate PDA 2, i-mate PDA2K and i-mate Jam. Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, MacBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile is a mobile network operator that operates largely in Europe but also in the USA. T-Mobile carries phones made by various manufacturers including BlackBerry, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. T-Mobile also carries mobile phones and PDAs branded as T-Mobile phones but which are actually made by OEM manufacturers such as HTC and Sharp Corporation which produces all versions of the Sidekick (also known as the Hiptop) PDA designed by Danger, Inc in close collaboration with Sharp and T-Mobile. Some of the phones that T-Mobile carries are the T-mobile Shadow Sage, T-mobile BlackBerry Curve Titanium, T-mobile BlackBerry Pearl 8100 White, T-mobile Pocket PC Edition, T-mobile Wing, T-mobile Dash, T-mobile Sidekick iD, T-mobile BlackBerry 8800, T-mobile Sidekick Slide, T-mobile Sidekick LX Brown and T-mobile BlackBerry 8700g. The following types of products are available at PDAaccessories: Bluetooth, Package, Leather Cases, Carrying Case, Chargers and Synchronizers, Stylus, Data Storage, Battery, Screen Protectors, Screen Cleaning Kits, Hands Free, Keyboards, Kits, Gaming Console Accessories, Booster Sticker, Antenna and Amplifiers, Gadgets, Cameras, Laptop Chargers, Laptop Keyboards, Wireless Cards, GPS Batteries and GPS Mounts

T-Mobile MDA

MDA is the brand name with which PDAs made by HTC are marketed. These MDA PDAs are sold by T-Mobile and the following are some of the models available: T-Mobile MDA I, T-Mobile MDA Compact, T-Mobile MDA II and T-Mobile MDA III. As HTC has launched its own lineup of PDAs and smart-phones since late 2006, it no longer works as an OEM for other companies and so the MDA lineup of PDAs has been discontinued by T-Mobile (although one can still find the page by googling T-Mobile MDA, the resulting page however shows that the MDA is now "Out of Stock"). The following types of products are available at PDAaccessories: Bluetooth, Package, Leather Cases, Carrying Case, Chargers and Synchronizers, Stylus, Data Storage, Battery, Screen Protectors, Screen Cleaning Kits, Hands Free, Keyboards, Kits, Gaming Console Accessories, Booster Sticker, Antenna and Amplifiers, Gadgets, Cameras, Laptop Chargers, Laptop Keyboards, Wireless Cards, GPS Batteries and GPS Mounts

Kyocera

Kyocera is a Japanese company originally formed in 1959. Along with mobile phones and PDAs, Kyocera also manufactures ceramic products, printers and copiers, digital imaging devices, semiconductor components, electronic devices and telecom equipment. Amongst their extensive lineup some of the more popular Kyocera phones are the Kyocera 6035 and the Kyocera 7135 both of which are flip-phones (that is they have the clamshell form factor). The Kyocera 6035 was released in 2002 and is a monochrome PDA whereas the Kyocera 7135 is a color phone and was released in 2004. The 6035 and 7135 phones both operate on CDMA cellular networks. Accessories for the following brands are available at PDA Accessories: Apple / Ipod, Audiovox, Casio, Dell, Handspring, i-mate, MDA, Microsoft, Motorola, Nintendo, O2, Orange SPV, Palm, Qtek, Blackberry, Samsung, Sharp, Siemens, Sony, T-Mobile and Toshiba.

Microsoft

Microsoft, the first thing that comes to mind is monopoly and not the boardgame either, for how often have we heard the two words together. However there is a lot more to Microsoft than just being a monopoly. Other than Microsoft Windows, the world renowned operating system, Microsoft also develops other software such as Microsoft Office (productivity software), Internet Explorer, Media Player, Encarta, Messenger, Silverlight and a host of software both for development and casual use. Microsoft has also diversified to the hardware market with their own lineup of mice, portable music players (Zune) and gaming consoles (XBox and XBox 360). Microsoft has also developed an operating system for mobile devices such as PDAs known as Windows Mobile. Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, MacBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

Motorola

Motorola is probably best known for its mobile handset the Moto RAZR, however its business encompasses networking systems, microprocessors, embedded systems and even used to include government and defense business before it was sold off to General Dynamics. However, it was the Moto RAZR that made it popular and comprised the bulk of its revenue so when it went out of fashion, unsurprisingly Motorola's revenue too fell drastically. However, the RAZR was not the only phone that Motorola made, amonst others were the Motorola Q and Motorola Moto Q9m or Q9c PDAs. Other than that the more popular Motorola phones are: Motorola i265, Motorola i335, Motorola i580, Motorola i670, Motorola i850, Motorola i880, Motorola i930, Motorola KRZR K1, Motorola RAZR V3 Pearl Gray, Motorola RAZR V3m, Motorola RAZR V3t, Motorola RAZR2, Motorola V195s, Motorola W490 Purpal and Motorola Z3. The following types of products are available at PDAaccessories: Bluetooth, Package, Leather Cases, Carrying Case, Chargers and Synchronizers, Stylus, Data Storage, Battery, Screen Protectors, Screen Cleaning Kits, Hands Free, Keyboards, Kits, Gaming Console Accessories, Booster Sticker, Antenna and Amplifiers, Gadgets, Cameras, Laptop Chargers, Laptop Keyboards, Wireless Cards, GPS Batteries and GPS Mounts.

Nintendo

Nintendo, makers of classics, innovator of new trends, the old the new combined. Yes, although Nintendo has been rather inactive in recent times, the launch of the Wii has led to it once again becoming a dominant player in the console wars. In fact Nintendo is the leader in terms of console sales for this generation of consoles and even though both the XBox 360 and PS3 are technically far superior the Nintendo Wii's innovative and (physically) challenging but immensely fun style of play has made it a success. From its first venture (mass produced) into gaming consoles NES to the Wii, Nintendo has persisted in trying to be fresh with its game designs and gameplay (Duckhunt anyone? Hint: Light Zapper) and outdone its combination by sheer ingenuity. The same can be said of its game development ranging from the old classics (Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, Excite Bike, Duck Hunt, etc) to its modern classics (Zelda, Wii Sports, to an extent Pokemon, Wii Sports, Animal Crossing, etc). It is also (undoubtedly) the most experienced and one of the leading manufacturers of portable consoles (Gameboy Advance/Color/Pocket, DS) and have encouraged innovative gameplay in the DS as well with the two screens, one of which is a touch screen. Accessories for the following brands are available at PDA Accessories: Apple / Ipod, Audiovox, Casio, Dell, Handspring, i-mate, MDA, Kyocera, Microsoft, Motorola, O2, Orange SPV, Palm, Qtek, Blackberry, Samsung, Sharp, Siemens, Sony, T-Mobile and Toshiba.

O2

O2 was a company whose base of operations in various countries was made from demergers from BT (British Telecom). Late in 2005, the Spanish company Telefonica bought O2 plc. Although O2's main area of business is realted to both fixed and mobile phone services, it also offers broadband services and also sells a range of wirelessly connecting PDA and smartphones branded as XDA. These XDA PDAs are often produced by multiple manufacturers such as Quanta, Erima, etc. Current models are the XDA Orbit and the XDA Stellar, earlier models include: O2 XDA II & XDA IIi, O2 XDA III & XDA IIs, O2 XDA I and O2 XDA II Mini all of which have been retired. As a company O2 is in direct competition with the likes of Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone and many others besides. Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, MacBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

Orange

Orange SPV was a type of smart of phone made by High Tech Computers (HTC) for the telecommunication company Orange SA and particularly for its mobile operator division. SPV stands for Sounds, Pictures and Videos so if you were expecting something complicated we are terribly sorry to disappoint you. Like many cell-phones, smart-phones and PDAs, the SPV line largely uses Texas Instruments processors (with the exception of a one that uses a Samsung processor). The SPV line continues even to this day and its latest manifestation was the SPV E650 smart phone. The SPV line has also standardized the Microsoft Windows Mobile OS ever since the launch of the original SPV which operated on the Microsoft Smartphone 2002 OS. Amongst the many smartphones released by Orange SPV are the Orange SPV M1000 and Orange SPV M2000 which seem to hold a special place in many people's memories as they were amongst the first Windows powered smartphones and thus carried mobile versions of Outlook, Internet Explorer, Media Player in addition to calendar, task and contact which meant it was particularly useful for business users who could keep in touch with their work while on the go. The following types of products are available at PDAaccessories: Bluetooth, Package, Leather Cases, Carrying Case, Chargers and Synchronizers, Stylus, Data Storage, Battery, Screen Protectors, Screen Cleaning Kits, Hands Free, Keyboards, Kits, Gaming Console Accessories, Booster Sticker, Antenna and Amplifiers, Gadgets, Cameras, Laptop Chargers, Laptop Keyboards, Wireless Cards, GPS Batteries and GPS Mounts.

Palm

Palm or rather Palm to be precise was originally a division of US Robotics and later became a wholly independent PDA manufacturing company. It used to be that all Palm devices ran on the Palm OS however as of the Palm Treo 700W. Furthermore the market for PDAs is being contested more and more as many phone manufacturers are now making multi-function smartphones which combine the functions of a PDA with a cell phone so that it is expected that soon PDA-only devices will no longer be available. The full list of Palm devices would be fairly lengthy however the following devices are some of their more successful ones: The Palm Centro, the Palm Treo series - Palm Treo 600, Palm Treo 650, Palm Treo 680, Palm Treo (TM) 680, Palm Treo 700p, Palm Treo 700W, Palm Treo 700WX, Palm Treo 750, Palm Treo (TM) 750 and the Palm Treo 755p, the Palm series - Palm II, Palm III, Palm V, Palm VII which was replaced by the m series - Palm m100, Palm m105, Palm m125, Palm m130, Palm m500 and Palm m505, the Tungsten series - Palm Tungsten C, Palm Tungsten E, Palm Tungsten E2, Palm Tungsten T, Palm Tungsten T2, Palm Tungsten T3, Palm Tungsten T5, Palm Tungsten TX and Palm Tungsten W, the Palm i705, the Palm LifeDrive, the Palm VX, the Palm Z22 and the Zire series - Palm Zire, Palm Zire 71 and Palm Zire 72. Accessories for the following brands are available at PDA Accessories: Apple / Ipod, Audiovox, Casio, Dell, Handspring, i-mate, MDA, Kyocera, Microsoft, Motorola, Nintendo, O2, Orange SPV, Palm, Qtek, Blackberry, Samsung, Sharp, Siemens, Sony, T-Mobile and Toshiba.

QTek

QTek is a brand name under which HTC (High Tech Computer Corporation) operates. HTC was the fastest growing tech company in 2005 in BusinessWeek's Info Tech 100 and not only does it provide operator-branded products (O2, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc) but also owns Dopod as a subsidiary company. It has recently also developed its first UMPC (Ultra Mobile Personal Computer), the HTC Shift. Other PDAs among QTeks's extensive list of products include the Qtek 1010, Qtek 2020/2020i and the Qtek 9090. Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, MacBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

Blackberry

Blackberry is a product of Research In Motion (RIMM). The Blackberry is popular for its ability to send and receive e-mail on the go, hence by specialising on a particular feature the Blackberry has carved out a niche for itself in the market (about 8 million subscribers) even though many other PDA devices now offer the same service. In fact some PDAs by SonyEricsson, Motorola, HTC and Nokia use the same e-mail client. Some of the more popular versions of the Blackberry are: Blackberry 6280, Blackberry 957, Blackberry 850, Blackberry 7730, Blackberry, Blackberry 7750, Blackberry 5810, Blackberry 6230, Blackberry 6750, Blackberry 7280, Blackberry 7210, Blackberry 6210, Blackberry 857, Blackberry 950, Blackberry 7510, Blackberry 6710 and Blackberry 6510. The following types of products are available at PDAaccessories: Bluetooth, Package, Leather Cases, Carrying Case, Chargers and Synchronizers, Stylus, Data Storage, Battery, Screen Protectors, Screen Cleaning Kits, Hands Free, Keyboards, Kits, Gaming Console Accessories, Booster Sticker, Antenna and Amplifiers, Gadgets, Cameras, Laptop Chargers, Laptop Keyboards, Wireless Cards, GPS Batteries and GPS Mounts.

Sharp

Sharp Sharp Zaurus Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, MacBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

Sharp is a company that gained mass recognition during the 1983-2000 period where it was the shirt sponsor for Manchester United football club. A great part of this publicity is merely recognition due to advertisement but another part is also that Manchester United had perhaps their golden era during this period and were very successful. Sharp is a Japanese company that operates in the electronics industry. Among its consumer products are LCDs,home appliances and communication equipment. On a side note, Sharp is one of the top 20 semiconductor manufacturers of the world (as forecasted for 2007 by iSuppli Corporation). The Sharp Zaurus is the name of Sharp's lineup of PDAs. The Sharp Zaurus was one of the first PDAs to be made available in Asia and while it has been immensely popular in Japan since its release in 1993, it is not as popular elsewhere. This is mainly because the earlier Zaurus PDAs used proprietary Sharp OS which had Japanese UI thus restricting its usage elsewhere. On the other hand, Sharp later started selling Zaurus PDAs elsewhere with open source Linux distributions as well as OpenBSD. However, most of these distributions allow proprietary Sharp software to run on them. Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, MacBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

Siemens

Siemens AG is a German conglomerate that operates in many fields including power, transportation, medical, information and communication and lighting. With a history of over 150 years, Siemens is a well established brand and it has a wealth of experience having made the first color GSM phone and in all probability the first phone with an MP3 player and has been making mobile phones since 1985. Among the more popular Siemens PDAs and smart phones are the Siemens SX66 and the Siemens SX 56. However in 2005 Siemens sold its cell phone and PDA manufacturing unit to BenQ. In 2006 the same unit had to file for bankruptcy. The following types of products are available at PDAaccessories: Bluetooth, Package, Leather Cases, Carrying Case, Chargers and Synchronizers, Stylus, Data Storage, Battery, Screen Protectors, Screen Cleaning Kits, Hands Free, Keyboards, Kits, Gaming Console Accessories, Booster Sticker, Antenna and Amplifiers, Gadgets, Cameras, Laptop Chargers, Laptop Keyboards, Wireless Cards, GPS Batteries and GPS Mounts

Sony

Sony Ericsson is a joint venture between Sony and Ericsson with a 50-50 partnership and was established in 2001. Before that, Sony had already launched their line of PDAs (which used Palm OS) the Sony Clie (which was an acronym for creativity, lifestyle, innovation, emotion). While the Sony Clie line has been discontinued completely as of 2005, it was and is still a vastly popular PDA and even though Sony has stopped providing support for the Clie one can still find drivers that are essential for full utility of the Clie very easily from sites created by Clie fans. Amongst the more popular versions of the Sony Clie were: Sony Clie T615, Sony Clie NR70V, Sony Clie N700, Sony Clie 700 Series, Sony Clie N600, Sony Clie SL10, Sony Clie NR70, Sony Clie SJ30, Sony Clie 500 Series, Sony Clie 600 Series, Sony Clie S300, Sony Clie NX60, Sony Clie T665, Sony Clie NX70V, Sony Clie SJ20 and the Sony Clie T415. While Sony has made many innovations including the Sony Playstation (and its successor the Sony PlayStation 2 and the portable version Sony PSP) as well as various data storage formats such the Betamax system for video cassette players, DAT tape standard, Blu-ray Discs, UMD (Universal Media Discs), etc its innovations in the mobile industry have been fairly limited. However Sony Ericsson did introduce the first line of phones whose main feature was to play music (the Walkman series). Thus providing fair competition for portable music players such as the iPod, Creative Zen and Microsoft Zune. Among Sony Ericsson's many phones are the Sony Ericsson Z310a and the Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman both of which are fairly recent and quite popular. Accessories for the following brands are available at PDA Accessories: Apple / Ipod, Audiovox, AT&T Tilt, Casio, Dell, Handspring, i-mate, MDA, Kyocera, Microsoft, Motorola, Nintendo, O2, Orange SPV, Palm, Pantech Duo, Qtek, Blackberry, Samsung, Sharp, Siemens, Sony, T-Mobile and Toshiba.

LG

LG (formerly Goldstar) is a South Korean conglomerate that produces petrochemical and electronic products as well as mobile phones and PDAs. With regards to their marketing campaigns for their mobile phones and PDAs, I can personally vouch for their success as not only was I incredibly tempted to immediately purchase the LG Chocolate phone but experienced similar desires for the more recent LG Viewty. An interesting fact about the LG Viewty is that it was widely reported by many magazines and tech sites that it outsold the Apple iPhone in terms of units sold in Europe but cannot be confirmed as Apple has not released sales figures for the iPhone. LG has many notable phones and PDAs in their lineup including: LG VX5400 CDMA, LG VX8350, LG VX8550 Blue Mint Chocolate, LG VENUS VX8800 in Pink, LG VX9400, LG ENv VX9900, LG Voyager VX10000, LG Shine, LG CU515 and the LG CE110. LG also owns Cyon, their Korean mobile phone brand. Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, MacBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

Nokia

Nokia is the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer. It derives its name from a river in Finland where it was originally established as a wood pulp mill in the late 19th century. Nokia was part of the development team for the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) standard which now dominates mobile telephony with about 80% of the world's mobile subscribers using GSM. Nokia had developed its first true handheld mobile phone by 1987 and has never looked back since. In fact, Nokia announced in 2007 that the Nokia 1100 is the world's best selling mobile phone of all time with over 200 million units shipped. This also makes the Nokia 1100 the top selling consumer electronic product. Amongst its many other popular phones are the following: The Nokia 2135, Nokia 2610, Nokia 6103, Nokia N75, Nokia 6133, Nokia 6555 (Refurb), Nokia 6126, Nokia 6086, Nokia 5300 XpressMusic Black and the Nokia 6263 phone. Nokia has now also diversified its mobile products into the enterprise market with the launch of the Nokia Eseries. The Eseries along with the Nseries are in design and function essentially PDAs and smartphones and are probably geared toward business users (even though the Nseries is actually the multimedia/entertainment series). The following types of products are available at PDAaccessories: Bluetooth, Package, Leather Cases, Carrying Case, Chargers and Synchronizers, Stylus, Data Storage, Battery, Screen Protectors, Screen Cleaning Kits, Hands Free, Keyboards, Kits, Gaming Console Accessories, Booster Sticker, Antenna and Amplifiers, Gadgets, Cameras, Laptop Chargers, Laptop Keyboards, Wireless Cards, GPS Batteries and GPS Mounts

Pantech

Pantech is a little known company that produces mobile phones, smart-phones and PDAs and is based in South Korea. It is the third largest mobile phone maker in South Korea behind Samsung and LG Mobile respectively. Pantech has been an innovator and has received many awards for its daring designs. Pantech claims to be the world's first mobile phone manufacturer to have made a sliding phone, a CDMA 1X phone, fingerprint ID phone, ZIGBEE equipped phone, motion sensing phone, Windows Mobile smart phone and Bluetooth DMB phone. Pantech also claims to have been first in introducing many new mobile phone technologies in Korea. Pantech has also made the Pantech Duo PDA which is a Windows Mobile PDA that has 3G (UMTS and HSDPA) support and with expandable memory (SD cards) is not only the perfect business device, but also an exceptional portable music player. This because you can purchase and download new music using Windows Media Player and the digital music stores embedded in it. The most exceptional feature of the Pantech Duo however is that it is both a slide phone (slide to show numeric keypad) and a flip phone (flip to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard). Also features a respectable 1.3 Megapixel camera. Accessories for the following laptop manufacturers are available at PDA Accessories: Acer, Averatec, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hitachi, HP, MacBooks by Apple, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Nikon, Sony, Toshiba, Trigem, Viewsonic, WinBook, etc.

Sanyo

Sanyo is a major Japanese company that is part of the Fortune 500. While not well known in the consumer base, it gains a lot of its revenue from its semi-conductor business. Sanyo also produces consumer electronics, dry batteries and also cellular phones. Sanyo has very little market exposure in the mobile phone and PDAs industry even though it is the fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer in Japan. Among its lineup are the following smart phones and PDAs: Sanyo S1, Sanyo KATANA II, Sanyo SCP-3200 and the Sanyo SCP-7050.
